Prepare for Triumph
I don’t know what you’re going through, but what I do is, you’re not alone. Stick with me, because we have all been there, and unfortunately, sometimes we keep coming back to the same issues as if we didn’t have enough.
I have left huge footprints in the valley of failure. While there, I learned that failure is the next-door neighbor of fear, anxiety, doubt, and shame. Evil owns that valley and loves when you dwell in that place of confusion, uncertainty, and despair. He is the best landlord of your anxieties, depression, and hurt.
So the question is, do you want to continue living a defeated life or do you believe God has a promised land and can restore you and your heart without having to “sign your life away” into failure? You already have the gift of love, forgiveness, and salvation. You are a conqueror. God is not done with you!
Do not dispair – there is hope
Yes, there is hope for all of us. See, Peter’s failure gives us hope. In Luke 22:34 Jesus said, “I tell you, Peter, before the rooster crows today, you will deny three times that you know me.” Jesus knew Peter would fail, just like He knows we will fail Him. But He also knew and assured Peter that his failure was not the end of him, he would use his failures to strengthen him and help others.
God knows our future just as He knew Peter had to become humble in his self-confidence and pride and he had to fail to become a more effective leader. God also utilizes our failures to create our success and to make us better servants for Him.
The truth is, God will never leave us; we chose to leave Him. God promised that nothing or no one could separate us from His love and forgiveness, but when dwelling in that place of confusion, fear, and self-pity, evil manages to be our landlord, to darken and build false walls around our hearts denying God access for healing.
So today, right now, this moment that you’re reading – pause and humble yourself. Turn to God so that He can give you a fresh start and renewed understanding of His purpose so that you can enter the Valley of Triumph with Him. In doing so, even when going through trials and tribulations, you can experience the joy, peace, and love only He can provide.
Prayer
Lord, please help me surrender all my fears, doubts, anxieties, and failures to You. You died on the cross for me so that I don’t have to live in fear. Please use my failures to strengthen me and to help others. May everything I do from this day forward is pleasing to You and for Your glory. I ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
