How many times a day do you ask God to give you His strength? Me? I will be honest, I am constantly asking God to give me His strength, not only physical strength, but mental, and most importantly, spiritual. Yes, lately, with quarantines and gyms being closed (not to mention having several issues on one shoulder), my physical strength is shot. And that’s okay because I do what I can do, but how many times a day does my mental strength become weak? Way too many my friends.
Fear, doubt, and guilt make us weak
My mental and spiritual muscles fail me when I allow fear, doubt, guilt, etc., to control me. It is then when I become weak. I become weak when I don’t trust the Lord, when I think I can’t do anything because it’s impossible, or even worse, when I think I can do things on my own. It’s is then when I have to cry out to God to give me strength. The strength to believe, trust, and not fear…and yes, to help me lift things with my shattered shoulder.
Moving Forward
So today, no matter how strong and buffed you are, you still need God’s strength to move forward in life. So call on Him as many times you want during the day…because He is waiting for you to place all your weaknesses on Him so that He can carry them for you.
Prayer
God, please give me the strength to endure whatever comes my way. In my weaknesses, please give me the strength to overcome fear, guilt, doubt, and any temptations evil attempts towards me. Thank You for being my constant source of strength because it is through You that I can do all things – Phillippians 4:13
