I will remember always that marriage, like life, is a journey – not a destination – and that its treasures are found not just at the end but all along the way.” ―Anonymous.
Imagine you have been told there is a treasure, and if you find it, it will be all yours. However, this treasure is different, and an “X” does not mark the spot – a “Δ” does. Marriage is like looking for a treasure. Sometimes you find rocks, other times you find hills or even mountains that seem impossible to climb. Here and there, you may find golden nuggets, feelings of happiness, but when your focus is to seek God in your marriage, WHOA! Hold on to your seat because you will find what marriage is supposed to be – A real gift, a treasure from God.
Marriage is a treasure, seek to find God first, and you will find your treasure.
Prayer
Jesus, you showed us what true sacrifice and love look like. I want to honor You and my marriage by willingly following your example of strength, courage, and peace. Please show me how I can share that love with my spouse and create in me a willing heart with pure intentions. Please give me the strength, peace, and character to do what is right. Through Jesus Christ – Amen.
